Strengthening families and children in everyday life
The aim of the “Bridges for Tomorrow” project is to open up new opportunities for participation, education and social inclusion for children and their families in Grevenbroich and the surrounding area – regardless of life situation, background or social status. Rappelkiste Grevenbroich e.V. creates spaces for encounter for families and children aged 0 to 12, in which education, guidance and shared experiences become tangible.
The year-round programme consists of three core components: open afternoons offer children safe, inspiring spaces for play, creative activities and social learning, where they build self-confidence, make friends and discover their strengths.
In the parent–baby café, young parents find a regular meeting place for exchange, mutual support and professional input, with topics such as bonding, early development and practical everyday support at the centre, while babies gain their first social experiences. In the family café, whole families – regardless of age, origin or situation – experience open interaction and education, with opportunities for intercultural exchange, parenting education, new contacts and low-threshold support in everyday life.
